The Best Bacon Bouquet You Can Make

The Best Bacon Bouquet You Can Make

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, believe it or not, but don’t worry, fellas! If you’ve got a girlfriend (and if she’s anything like me!), chances are she wants two things for the special day: a set of nice, beautiful roses, and something tasty to eat. Well… what if I told you that there was a way that you could give her both of those things at once? And no, I’m not talking about having her eat the roses, silly…

I’m of course talking about a BACON BOUQUET! That’s right – a bouquet of what looks like roses, but instead of being actual flowers and plants, well, it’s bacon! What’s not to love about that?

It’s pretty simple to make a bacon bouquet, too, as a matter of fact. Here’s how:

First, roll up some bacon! That should be the easiest job for anybody who is looking to make this, since, well, you better love bacon to make it happen. But as you cook and roll up the bacon, you want it relatively tight, but also something that looks like it might be a flower if you’re looking at it vertically.

Next, grab some tooth picks, and place the toothpicks through the bacon in a cross motion, both picks perpendicular to each other. From there, you’ve got a little connection where you can slide the bacon toothpicks into a base of flowers.

Stick them in the oven, toothpicks and all, so they can cook nice and perfect with their new shape taking hold. When they get out of the oven, you can remove the toothpicks as you prepare to stick these pieces of bacon on the flowers themselves to make it look like roses.

Now, go to the discount store, or Wal-Mart, or the flower shop, and buy a dozen (or more, if you’re feeling adventurous!) fake roses. Pull of all the petals, leaving only the green flowers and the stems left on the bouquet. From there, you should have a plastic piece on the fake green leaflets that you can connect your bacon bouquets to, to ensure that they don’t fall off during your epic delivery.

Stick on the pieces of cooked bacon, and BAM! You’ve got yourself a bacon bouquet, and what will surely be the greatest gift you have ever given if your significant other loves bacon and wants more of it for Valentine’s Day. Oh, and ladies, if your guy doesn’t do this for you, this may not be a bad idea for you to make for him… just sayin’!

What a cool idea! People are always complaining about how roses don’t last, well I know these bacon roses won’t last either ( I am sure in my house they would be devoured very quickly ) but at least you get to enjoy them in a fun new way!

I’ll take a bacon bouquet over a fruit bouquet any day. This is a great and creative way for couples to share their love on Valentine’s Day. I may have to give this a try.
