Tracking Down My Future Pig Car

Check it out! This car was recently spotted in Chicago, and WHAT?! It’s a pink pig car! Oh no. This is just too perfect, and I want to know who the owner of the car is, and how I can get one just like it!

I know the original photo was taken way back in 2006, but you know that with a car like that, somebody is still pretty darn proud of their pigs, just like me. The VW Bug has some pretty serious modifications, too; the piggy ears and nose aren’t just decorations, but it almost looks like they are welded on the car.

So, what gives? Do any of you guys live in Chicago? Want to help me track down Jim’s Pig (see the license plate!) and figure out who this guy is and how I can learn from him to modify my car in the same way?!

Seeing the pig stuffed animals inside the dashboard, and the pig nose, ears, and eyes on the hood and roof makes me think that ol’ Jim and I might just have a few things to talk about if we ever did get to meet!

Plus, that curly-q pig tail?! Too darn cute!

Jim isn’t alone, either. There are a ton of pictures of cars that have been modified to look like pigs in some way, shape, or form. Way cool, but I bet it isn’t cheap or easy to come by some of these modifications.

Either way, it’s pretty nice to know that I’m not the only crazy pig person out there, and that other people have thought of these ideas, too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

One day, when I make (or more accurately, save up) the big bucks, a Pigmobile is MINE! I’ll be sure to deck it out with all the best piggy accessories and make it look just like a pig with all the motivation I’ve found on the Internet from other people who have already done the same thing!

So, any of you guys in Chicago? Have you seen the pig car? I’d love some insight!

And if you could soup up your car, any way, any funds, money’s not an issue, what would you do? Would your dream car look like a pig or another animal? Or would you stick to modifications under the hood?

Hey Lillian, well I’m not from Chicago nor have I ever seen such a cool looking pig car lol, but I’m pretty sure that any autobody shop could convert any car by doing a paint job and adding some aftermarket parts. My boyfriend is an autobody guy / mechanic and he does stuff like that all the time, so that’s how I know it’s possible lol. Anyway good luck and yeah just call around different shops for quotes! Another tip? Go for small, privately owned shops. Big companies will change thousands more than necessary.

Thanks for the tip Tara. I definitely have to start saving. It’s going to be a long while before I’ll get my dream pig mobile…

Haha that’s an awesome car! The only thing better than that for a pig-style car would be driving around in a car shaped like a pork chop ๐Ÿ˜› Good luck finding it :).

  3. Haley Johnson says:

Oh my gosh!!! That car is super cute!! Good luck girl, I hope you can get one like it and put your logo on the side ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ve seen a old volkswagen modified to look like a giant green watermelon (no joke!) but I haven’t seen any animal themed ones. Those ears look like a nightmare to park with though!

    • Lillian Tram says:

Green watermelon car?!? That sounds absurd lol. The ears do look tough to park. I would probably lose one of the pig ears after a week of driving that car.

  6. Amanda Townsend says:

Oh that’s awesome. I am seeing reindeer cars everywhere in my town. I’d MUCH rather see a pig car! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Suzanne Hellmann says:

Pink is my favourite colour, I love pigs, I love nice cars. So obviously I think these cars are the greatest advertising idea ever. I want one!!!

  8. Greg says:

Sorry to revive an old thread, The owner’s name is Jim Lopata. He is a collector of all things pig. I haven’t seen the car in a year or two and he must be approaching 70.

  9. Sheri says:

Ok so I need to know where I can get a pig nose and pig tail for my car, can anyone help me out??? I’m desperate!

    • JERI says:

SHERI DID YOU FIND THE TAIL AND NOSE FOR THE CAR? IF SO WHERE? I AM DOING A PIG CAR FOR A PARADE AND THOUGHT IF THEY MAKE THEM FOR THE BEETLE VS TRYING TO MAKE ONE UP. PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
      THANKS!!!
